Job summary

insightsoftware is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our EPM business unit. You will lead complex pre‑sales engagements, deliver authoritative product demonstrations to C‑suite audiences, and architect custom EPM solutions that map business requirements to platform capabilities.

In this role, you will partner with sales, influence deal outcomes, and contribute to strategy while traveling up to 40% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years in a sales engineering, pre‑sales, solutions consulting, or solutions engineering role within the EPM, ERP, or financial software industry.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of EPM platforms with cross‑product understanding.
• Comfortable designing and demonstrating custom configurations to address complex, non‑standard prospect requirements.
• Proven ability to lead complex enterprise engagements independently and influence deal outcomes at a senior level.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to C‑suite executives.
• Advanced analytical skills with a track record of translating business needs into creative solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Technical Expertise – Maintain advanced knowledge of EPM solutions, including financial planning, budgeting, and corporate performance management, with the ability to handle custom configurations and complex technical scenarios.
• Strategic Client Engagement – Anticipate customer needs and lead complex pre‑sales engagements independently, partnering with the sales team to contribute to deal strategy.
• Product Demonstrations – Deliver authoritative, tailored product demonstrations to C‑suite and technical audiences, articulating business value across the EPM portfolio.
• Solution Design – Architect custom enterprise solutions, mapping requirements to platform capabilities and guiding customers through evaluation processes.
• Proposal Development – Lead technical responses to RFPs/RFIs, ensuring accuracy and a compelling value narrative across multi‑product opportunities.
• Team Contribution – Share knowledge and best practices within the SE team.
• Feedback Loop – Synthesize field insights to inform product roadmap and GTM strategy.
