Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UAE seeks a detail-oriented Electrical Inspector to join our site supervision team for villa and township development projects. You will ensure electrical works on-site comply with approved drawings, specifications, and local regulations while coordinating with contractors and consultants.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of residential inspection experience, strong knowledge of LV distribution, street lighting and earthing, and the ability to read drawings and BOQs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of relevant electrical inspection experience, preferably in villa developments, gated communities or township projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in residential projects (LV distribution, street lighting, earthing, utilities).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs.
• Familiarity with inspection checklists, ITPs and documentation protocols.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems across villa units, common areas and township infrastructure.
• Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications and local regulations.
• Review electrical layouts, schematics, shop drawings and method statements for site compliance.
• Monitor installation of cabling, DBs, lighting, earthing, panels and ELV systems.
• Identify non-conformances and provide corrective/preventive action recommendations.
• Verify testing and commissioning activities including insulation resistance, earthing, continuity and functional tests.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports, snag lists and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and project teams to resolve site issues and deadlines.
• Ensure implementation of HSE standards on site.
• Monitor progress and ensure compliance with schedules and quality benchmarks.
• Participate in site meetings and inspections with authorities/consultants.
