Job summary

ALSUWEIDI Engineering Consultants in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Electrical Inspector to supervise contractor works and ensure compliance with project standards.

The role requires a Bachelor's or Diploma in Electrical Engineering and at least 8 years of construction supervision experience with building services; strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and QA submittals is essential. The candidate will coordinate across disciplines and support the Resident Engineer on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years hands-on experience in construction supervision of building services.
• Experience reviewing technical submittals, method statements and As-built drawings.

Responsibilities

• Inspections of the contractor’s works on site.
• Review and comment on submittals and inspection requests per project standards.
• Site surveys and inspection of works in progress.
• Ensure contractor compliance with contract specs and shop drawings.
• Witness commissioning of major systems and document results.
• Coordinate electrical services with other disciplines.
• Report non-conformances and assist in close-out.
• Generate weekly and monthly discipline reports and track schedules.
• Support Resident Engineer and deliver internal project management deliverables.
• Maintain project documentation per Quality Plan and report safety issues.
