Job summary

Albatha Group in the UAE seeks a Senior Estimation Engineer – Electrical to lead cost estimation and tendering for MEP projects. You will apply expertise in LV/MV distribution, lighting, ELV, and building services to prepare accurate estimates and winning bids.

Responsibilities include reviewing tender docs, performing QTO, obtaining quotations, and developing competitive proposals while ensuring code compliance and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required (Master's or PMP est. a plus).
• 6–10 years of electrical estimation experience (power distribution, lighting, ELV).
• Experience with MEP contracting firms is a MUST.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical scope of MEP projects.
• Study tender documents, drawings, and BOQs to define estimation requirements.
• Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings/models (2D drawings and BIM).
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors.
• Prepare and compile competitive bid proposals within deadlines.
• Analyze technical specs to ensure code compliance.
• Perform load calculations and cost analyses to validate estimates.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and project teams for inputs.
• Mentor junior estimation engineers as needed.
