Job summary

Wood in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical oversight for ADNOC oil and gas projects. You will ensure electrical design compliance, interface management, and technical leadership across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning phases.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas, PMC experience, and a strong background with ADNOC standards and Middle East projects. A CICPA qualification and UAE visa eligibility are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas projects, upstream offshore.
• PMC experience is highly preferable.
• Large-scale EPC/EPCM project experience in Middle East / GCC is essential.
• At least 3+ years in a similar position; 5+ years in a PMC role on ADNOC or equivalent projects.
• Must be able to obtain CICPA and UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve electrical deliverables prepared by EPC contractors and engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, project specs, UAE regulations, and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS).
• Provide technical guidance on electrical engineering matters and interface management.
• Support design reviews, value engineering, and constructability assessments.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, piping, civil, instrumentation, telecom and operations.
• Support FATs, site inspections, and commissioning activities.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.
