Job summary

Wood is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer for ADNOC oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. You will provide electrical engineering oversight within the PMC team, ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes, across FEED through commissioning.

The role encompasses design review, vendor oversight, FATs, site support, and cross-disciplinary coordination to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas projects, upstream offshore, working for competitors’ organizations in Middle East/GCC is essential.
• PMC experience is highly preferable.
• Large-scale EPC/EPCM project experience in the Middle East/GCC is a must.
• Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA and a UAE work visa.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors and consulting engineers.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, UAE regulations, and international codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS).
• Provide technical guidance on electrical engineering matters and coordinate across disciplines.
• Support construction, commissioning, and start-up phases with safe, reliable delivery.
• Monitor contractor performance and participate in design reviews, workshops, and FATs.
