Job summary

Wood is seeking a PMC Senior Automation & Control Engineer in Abu Dhabi to provide technical leadership and oversight across FEED, detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and start-up phases of major oil and gas projects.

The role monitors EPC Contractor activities ensuring compliance with project standards, codes and HSE objectives, with focus on DCS, ICSS, SIS/ESD and safety systems, and requires extensive Middle East project experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Instrument, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 15+ years in Automation, Instrumentation & Control.
Oil & Gas experience in major upstream, gas processing, LNG, refinery, or petrochemical projects.
FEED, EPC, PMC, commissioning experience.
Experience with DCS, SIS/ESD, F&G, PLC/SCADA, ICSS.

Responsibilities

Lead and provide technical assurance for Automation and Control engineering activities.
Review and approve EPC Contractor engineering deliverables related to DCS, ICSS, PLC/SCADA, and safety systems.
Ensure control system architecture and diagrams meet safety and reliability requirements.
Coordinate interfaces with other plant systems and package units.
Support commissioning and startup activities with technical oversight.
