Job summary

Envisage Recruitment Limited seeks an experienced Design Engineer in Dubai to set engineering standards, draft technical drawings, and oversee prototype testing. The role covers product development, DAC definition, and manufacturing drawings in line with API and client specifications.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in a similar field, with AutoCAD/CADWorx proficiency and solid project planning experience. UAE-based on-site position with opportunity to lead design initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design or Engineering is required.
• Minimum 10 years in a similar field at a relevant organization.
• Strong knowledge of API manufacturing principles and packer design.

Job description

• To comply with the Company FZE QHSE policies and procedures.
• Responsible for setting Engineering Standards and processes.
• Responsible for providing technical drafting of drawings.
• Responsible for creation of assembly, disassembly, and redress procedures.
• Generation of Engineering test requests and reports.
• Responsible for design plan, review, and approval.
• Participating in the product development process.
• The company FZE equipment qualification and testing V0.
• Overseeing prototype design and testing of equipment in workshop.
• To analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and other technical data.
• To ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specification.
• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable design and standards.
• Use Client’s drawing control system and other systems to ensure drawing integrity is maintained.
• To define the Design Acceptance Criteria (DAC) as per the product and customer specific requirements.
• To interface meetings with Management and Manager for design and development requirements.

Accountabilities

• Accountable for maintaining changes in design and communicating them to the concerned parties.
• Accountable for verifying accuracy of new drawings prior to assembly and testing.

Authorities

• To hold the assembly process if any changes are identified in drawings and design.
• To provide and review technical drafting of drawings for approval.
• To oversee prototype design and testing of equipment in workshop.

Minimum Requirements to Hold the Above Specified Position

Education / Academic Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design / Engineering or any similar field.

Experience

• 10 years and above in a similar field.

Training Sessions

• Awareness of product specification requirements like API 11-D1, ASNT, AWS, etc.
• Project Planning analysis awareness
• Experience in AutoCAD, CADWorx, etc.

Skills

• Understanding of API manufacturing principles and methods and application to packer design
• Working knowledge of completion equipment design calculations
