Job summary

LT-Larsen & Toubro in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to review tender documents and EPC contract conditions for renewable energy projects, identify risks, and draft robust subcontract and purchase agreements with appropriate flow-down provisions.

The role involves negotiating deviations, managing interfaces across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and grid stakeholders, and substantiating change orders and entitlements to support on-time

Qualifications

• 6 to 10 years of experience in contract administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• Deep understanding of technical disciplines related to EPC contracts and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, EPC contract conditions, Employer’s Requirements, specs, schedules and commercial provisions for renewable energy projects.
• Prepare contract summaries identifying key commercial, contractual, technical, programme, payment, performance, warranty, LD, indemnity, liability limitation and termination provisions.
• Identify and assess contractual and commercial risks and develop mitigation, allocation and management strategies for project execution.
• Review and prepare NDAs, MOUs, and pre-tender agreements.
• Prepare terms and conditions, flow-down provisions, subcontracts, POs, supply agreements and service agreements with back‑to‑back risk allocation.
• Review, negotiate and close qualifications/deviations raised by bidders; manage interfaces between Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, OEMs, suppliers, subcontractors and grid/utility stakeholders.
• Compile subcontracts and POs to the awarded bidder.
• Draft letters and notices and manage contractual correspondence.
• Prepare, review and substantiate Variations, Change Orders, Extensions of Time, disruption/prolongation claims and other entitlements.
