Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager (Construction Supervision) to lead major construction programmes in Abu Dhabi, overseeing projects from inception to completion while managing timelines, budgets and safety compliance.

You will direct cross-functional teams, engage stakeholders and ensure alignment with local regulations, delivering projects that meet quality and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of project management experience in the construction industry.
• Proven track record supervising large-scale construction projects.
• Expertise in construction methodologies, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Ability to lead diverse teams and coordinate contractors, engineers, and vendors.
• Familiarity with UAE construction regulations, building codes, and local compliance requirements.
• PMI/PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
• Supervise on-site construction activities and ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and UAE regulations.
• Manage project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and laborers, while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard software and adjust timelines as needed.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost control measures to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify work meets contractual requirements and industry standards.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
• Prepare and present comprehensive project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Manage contracts, change orders, and vendor relationships to ensure smooth project operations.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to resolve technical issues and maintain project alignment.
• Ensure all safety protocols are implemented and maintained throughout the construction process.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and records for compliance and future reference.
