Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi, UAE seeks an experienced Construction Manager to join its Project Management Consultant team. You will oversee planning, execution, and completion of a mixed-use development, coordinating contractors, architects, engineers and stakeholders to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

You will lead scheduling and cost control, manage risks, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and report progress to key stakeholders across all project phases.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional construction management experience on large-scale or mixed-use projects.
• Proven experience in PMC or advisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction codes, regulations, and building standards.
• Demonstrated expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Proficiency with construction management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project).
• Excellent leadership and team management with clear stakeholder communication.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety standards and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of mixed-use construction projects from pre-construction through handover.
• Develop and manage schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors, construction teams, and vendors for efficient execution.
• Monitor progress against timelines and budgets; implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety, and environmental standards.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and reports for stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders; review change orders.
