BDO UAE in Abu Dhabi seeks an experienced Banking Audit Senior to lead external audits for banks and financial institutions, applying BDO methodology and IFRS standards.

You will manage end-to-end audit lifecycle, review financial statements, advise on regulatory requirements, and mentor junior team members while delivering high-quality client service.

Ideal candidates have 3–4+ years banking audit experience, IFRS 9/15 expertise, and professional qualifications such as CA, ACCA, or CPA.

Qualificações

• 3–4+ years of banking audit experience, preferably Big 4/Big 6.
• Strong IFRS knowledge, especially IFRS 9 and IFRS 15.
• Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CPA.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and execute external audit engagements for banks and financial institutions per BDO methodology and standards.
• Manage the end-to-end audit lifecycle, including planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, review, and reporting.
• Review financial statements and audit documentation to ensure IFRS compliance.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex accounting issues, providing practical recommendations.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with engagement teams, allocate resources, monitor progress to meet deadlines.
• Present audit findings to senior management, Audit Committees, Boards, and TCWG.
• Stay updated on IFRS, banking regulations, industry developments, and audit methodology changes.
• Support business development by identifying value-added services.
• Mentor, coach and develop junior team members.
