Job summary

Sunlight General Trading LLC in Sharjah is seeking an experienced accountant to manage end-to-end accounting functions, including AP/AR, GL, payroll, VAT, and monthly closings.

You will maintain fixed assets, prepare financial reports, monitor cash flow, support intercompany reconciliations, and supervise junior staff to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• B.Com degree or equivalent accounting qualification.
• 2-4 years of experience in similar accounting or finance roles.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and verify invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and journal entries.
• Perform bank, customer, supplier and intercompany reconciliations.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Maintain fixed-asset registers and calculate depreciation.
• Process payroll and verify employee-related payments.
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare payment schedules.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Guide junior accounting staff and review their work.
