Job summary

Kelmer Group in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Accountant/Supervisor to oversee client accounting operations and lead a small team in a post-restructure environment.

The role focuses on controlling financial transactions, preparing analyses, budgets, VAT and tax compliance, and coordinating with senior finance leadership to ensure accurate reporting and timely audits.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPA certification and be based in UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
• Experience with budgets, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant/Supervisor to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying the financial transactions of our client profiles. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities to support team coordination and ensure smooth execution of accounting activities following internal restructuring.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work in conjunction with the Sr. Advisor and Group Financial Controller
• Manage client profiles
• Coordinate accounting functions and programs
• Prepare financial analyses and reports
• Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets
• Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheets and general ledger accounts
• Assist with annual audit preparation
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Prepare VAT returns
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations
• Contribute to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures
• Supervise and support junior accounting staff, ensuring proper workflow and task allocation
• Perform other accounting duties and support junior staff as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Current location: UAE
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Certified Public Accountant – MANDATORY
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations – MANDATORY
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Accountant
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the consulting industry
• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in managing accounting teams
• Strong financial analysis skills, including budgeting and forecasting
• Familiarity with foreign currency transactions and exchange processes
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong organizational and stress management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to train, guide, and manage staff
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
