Job summary

ABC Cargo UAE is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to independently manage accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities in a fast-paced logistics environment.

The role requires strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and ERP accounting, with a focus on accurate financial documentation, internal controls, and timely reporting. Prior logistics industry exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• M.Com or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience, including senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax requirements.
• CA, ACCA, CPA, or CMA qualification will be considered an added advantage.
• Cargo, courier, logistics, or transportation industry experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting activities.
• Perform bank, branch, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections reporting.
• Prepare cash flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Support UAE VAT and Corporate Tax compliance requirements.
• Coordinate audit requirements and maintain accurate financial documentation.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure accurate ERP accounting records.
