Job summary

LEAMS Education is seeking a SENDCO to lead and manage provision for students with SEND in a UAE school. You will develop IEPs, coordinate assessments with professionals, and work with teachers, parents, and specialists to create an inclusive learning environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with external agencies, policy compliance, staff training, and ongoing evaluation of SEND strategies to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• SENDCO qualification or certification.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead identification and assessment of students with SEND.
• Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with teachers, parents and specialists.
• Coordinate assessments with external professionals (e.g., educational psychologists, speech therapists).
• Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive education.
• Liaise with external agencies and maintain communication with families.
• Ensure SEND provision complies with UAE laws and school policies.
• Monitor and evaluate SEND provision and report to senior leadership.
• Manage SEND budget and resources.
