Overview

Section Head Year 3 in Dubai, UAE within the Education Management sector is an immediate primary school leadership opportunity for an experienced educator who can guide academic staff, strengthen teaching practices, improve student outcomes, and maintain a positive learning culture in a British Curriculum school. The role requires strong knowledge of KHDA expectations, student safeguarding, assessment frameworks, parent engagement, staff coordination, and effective section-level school operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and effective leadership for Year 3 to support strong student achievement and progress
• Maintain a stimulating, creative, and well‑organised learning environment within the school section
• Lead academic staff assigned to the section by the Head of School and support high standards of teaching
• Allocate teaching duties, administrative responsibilities, and section‑related tasks in coordination with the Primary Head
• Work with Subject Coordinators to strengthen teaching quality, curriculum delivery, and student learning outcomes
• Manage day‑to‑day section operations while collaborating across the school to achieve academic and operational objectives
• Support teaching pedagogy, assessment practices, lesson quality, and student engagement across the section
• Contribute to resource planning and ensure classroom needs are aligned with section priorities
• Monitor student behaviour and ensure disciplinary methods follow the school's code of conduct
• Advise on the development and implementation of school policies, procedures, and improvement actions
• Assist the Head of School in managing section resources, staff expectations, and academic priorities
• Build effective relationships with parents and support clear communication regarding student progress and wellbeing

Ideal Profile

• Relevant educational qualification suitable for primary school leadership
• Previous experience in a British Curriculum school strongly preferred
• Experience as a Section Head, Year Leader, Primary Coordinator, or similar academic leadership role
• Strong understanding of KHDA inspection requirements and assessment frameworks
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
• Good knowledge of child care, child protection, safeguarding, and health & safety practices
• Able to develop, motivate, and sustain high‑performing teaching teams
• Strong strategic planning, organization, and school operations management ability
• Effective relationship management skills with parents, teachers, students, and school leadership
• Available to join immediately or within a suitable notice period
