Job summary

Hellmann in Dubai seeks a Sea Freight Pricing Supervisor to deliver high-quality pricing and tender management, supporting strategic initiatives. You will source rates, coordinate with Sales on forecasts, and negotiate with carriers to secure space allocations across FCL/LCL.

Lead a UAE pricing team and drive KPI-based improvements. Join a global logistics group that values collaboration, accuracy, and proactive market insight.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Pricing in the UAE.
• Good contact with local shipping lines.
• Proficient in MS Office and its applications.

Responsibilities

• Source competitive rates for enquiries.
• Source rates for contractual RFQs from local and origin offices.
• Set up regular meetings with Sales Team to gather volume forecast and discuss market constraints.
• Liaise with regional trade heads of Hellmann globally for FCL & LCL rate filing.
• Understand and optimize the freight bids.
• Organize regular meetings with shipping lines and consolidators.
• Collaborate with shipping lines & co-loaders on space allocations for FCLs/LCLs.
• Strategic negotiations with shipping lines for additional space allocation using forecasts and volume commitments.
• Manage an internal freight check system for UAE for FCL and LCL.
• Manage a team of UAE pricing.
• Set up KPIs acceptable to stakeholders regarding enquiry response lead time.
• Reporting on KPIs and improvement plans after gap analysis.
• Build bulletproof SOPs and work instructions to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Mentor the team and provide growth opportunities.
• Organize appraisal meetings and evaluate performance targets.

About the Job

The Sea Freight Pricing Supervisor, is dedicated to providing expertise, supporting the organisation's objectives through the application of specialised knowledge and skills. This role focuses on delivering high quality results in Pricing & Tender Management expertise and contributing to strategic initiatives.

• Source competitive rates for enquiries
• Source rates for contractual RFQs from local and origin offices
• Set up regular meetings with Sales Team to gather volume forecast and discuss on current market situations about service or space constraints
• Liaise with regional trade heads of Hellmann globally for FCL & LCL rate filing
• Understand and optimize the freight bids
• Organizing regular meetings with shipping lines and consolidators
• Collaborate with shipping line & co loaders on space allocations for FCLs and LCLS
• Strategic negotiations with shipping lines for additional space allocation using accurate forecasts and volume commitments
• Manage an internal freight check system for UAE for FCL and LCL
• Manage a team of UAE pricing
• Set up KPIs acceptable to all the stakeholders regarding freight enquiry response lead time
• Reporting on KPIs and set improvement plan after evaluating gap analysis report
• Building bullet proof SOPs and work instructions to improve efficiency and productivity
• Mentor the team and provide opportunities for growth
• Organize appraisal meeting with the team, assign and evaluate half yearly and yearly performance targets and objectives
• Generate freight comparison matrix to help the sales team to close right sales offers

About You

• Minimum 3 years' experience in Pricing in the UAE
• Good Contact with local shipping lines
• Proficient in MS Office and it's applications
