Job summary

Logis Careers is seeking a freight pricing specialist to manage sea freight pricing for export shipments, including FCL. You will obtain and negotiate rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents, and prepare competitive quotations tailored to customer requirements and trade lanes.

You will analyze rates, charges, and service options to deliver cost-effective solutions, coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations to ensure timely quotes, and maintain rate sheets and carrier

Responsibilities

• Handle sea freight pricing for export shipments, including FCL
• Obtain and negotiate freight rates with shipping lines, NVOCCs, and overseas agents
• Prepare competitive quotations based on customer requirements, shipment details, and trade lanes
• Analyze and compare freight rates, local charges, surcharges, and service options to provide cost-effective solutions
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely quotations
• Maintain updated rate sheets, tariff details, and carrier rate information
• Monitor market trends, carrier rate changes, and competitor pricing
• Handle customer and sales team inquiries related to sea freight rates and quotations
• Follow up with shipping lines and overseas agents for rate confirmations and validity
• Ensure quotations are prepared accurately with correct freight, origin/destination charges, THC, documentation charges, and other applicable costs
• Support the sales team with pricing solutions for new business opportunities, RFQs, and tenders
• Maintain proper records of quotations, rate negotiations, and approved pricing
• Ensure pricing is aligned with company margins and commercial guidelines
