Job summary

HMS Sweden seeks an experienced Sales & Support Engineer to lead technical support in the Middle East and drive sales for HMS Networks product lines including Ewon, Red Lion, N-tron, and Anybus. You will troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues while collaborating with the sales team on project planning and demonstrations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IIoT or industrial automation, an engineering degree, and strong English communication.

• Knowledge of IP/serial networks and PLC protocols, MQTT, OPC UA, IoT, Protocol Gateways, Industrial Routers

• Willingness to travel in Middle East for customer visits and learning new technologies

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical support leader in the Middle East for HMS Networks; nurture sales for niche product lines
• Ensure pre-sale and post-sale support for Red Lion, N-tron, Anybus Diagnostics, and Ewon products
• Own and resolve customer issues across software, hardware, and networking
• Collaborate with sales on project planning, demos, configurations, and field trials
• Conduct on-site training for integrators and key end-users; onboard Certified Channel Partners
• Map HMS product lines on major end-user vendor lists
• Drive approvals for HMS wireless products with UAE TRA, ICT Qatar, CITC KSA, SASO/SABER, etc.
• Support the Market Unit EMEA Technical Services team for other regions when required

Job description

We are expanding and have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and high-performing Sales & Support Engineer for our Industrial Data Solutions Product Lines: Ewon, Red Lion, N-tron, and Anybus.

HMS develops and markets products and solutions within Industrial Information and Communication Technology (Industrial ICT). Our products and solutions enable industrial equipment to communicate and share information with software and systems. Professionals in the automation market trust and deploy our products to succeed in their integration projects.

• Act as the primary technical support leader in the Middle East for HMS Networks; in addition nurture sales for select niche product lines
• Ensure customers get pre-sale and post-sale support to take full advantage of the Red Lion, N-tron, Anybus Diagnostics, and Ewon product ranges from HMS Networks
• Take ownership of customer issues reported and see them to resolution; troubleshoot software, hardware, and networking issues.
• Work with the sales team on project planning, setting up evaluation demos, creating and validating product configurations, guiding field trials
• Conduct on-site training for Integrators and Major End-Users; technical onboarding of Certified Channel Partners
• Map and qualify HMS Networks product lines on major end-user vendor lists
• Drive approvals for HMS wireless products with local wireless authorities such as TRA UAE, ICT Qatar, and CITC KSA, also SASO/SABER, etc.
• Support the Market Unit EMEA Technical Services team for other regions when required

Your Profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of IIoT or Industrial Automation
• Industrial Engineer or equivalent engineering qualification
• Proficient English level (technical writing and speaking) with the ability to communicate clearly
• Knowledge of IP/serial network and PLC protocols, MQTT, OPC UA, IoT, Protocol Gateways, Industrial Routers
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East and conduct weekly customer visits, and to learn new technologies, networking, wireless, and IIoT applications
• Ability to work on your own as well as a team environment: self-driven and collaborative
• Take full accountability for actions and the role; perform well under pressure, creative mindset to run new self-started initiatives
• Resourceful in solving problems with limited resources; develop solutions to obstacles that come up in your role
• Strong industry network or ability to make lasting connections

Must-Have

• Valid UAE Driving License
• Transferable Visa/Clearance from Labor Department and the previous employer to join HMS, 1 Month Notice preferred
• Personal Vehicle

• Prior experience with Ewon, Red Lion and N-tron
• Prior experience with GCC system integrators, Utility companies, City Municipalities, Factories/Plants Network Environments
