Role Context
The Sales Executive – Marine Engines will support Al‑Futtaim Automotive's Marine division by identifying new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and achieving sales targets across marine engine and propulsion product categories. The role requires a strong understanding of boats, marine applications, inboard and outboard engines, customer operating needs, and regional market trends. The successful candidate will contribute to revenue growth, customer retention, market expansion, and technical solution selling across Dubai and the wider Gulf Cooperation Council region.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales and marketing targets for marine engines, outboard motors, propulsion systems, and related marine products.
- Develop and execute territory business plans aligned with annual growth objectives and division sales priorities.
- Identify new business opportunities and build a strong pipeline of prospective customers across marine, fleet, and commercial segments.
- Prepare and present technical and commercial proposals that match customer requirements and operating conditions.
- Build long‑term relationships with boat builders, fleet operators, commercial marine customers, and industry stakeholders.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs, vessel requirements, engine applications, and future demand.
- Promote marine products and technical solutions that support customer performance, reliability, and lifecycle value.
- Work closely with internal teams to translate customer requirements into practical technical and commercial solutions.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery expectations, and service support requirements in line with business objectives.
- Share market intelligence, competitor activity, product updates, and customer feedback with internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on marine technologies, propulsion systems, engine developments, and market trends.
- Support regional marine operations and business development activity across the Gulf Cooperation Council when required.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pipeline updates, sales reports, quotations, and opportunity tracking.
- Coordinate with aftersales, parts, finance, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth customer support.
- Contribute to stronger product awareness, customer confidence, and sustainable growth within the marine business.
Ideal Profile
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales of marine engines, outboard motors, inboard engines, or marine propulsion systems.
- At least 2 years of sales experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
- Strong technical knowledge of marine products, boats, marine applications, propulsion systems, and engine specifications.
- Experience working with commercial customers, boat builders, fleet operators, marine contractors, or marine service providers.
- Strong business development, consultative selling, negotiation, and account management skills.
- Ability to prepare technical and commercial proposals for customer‑specific marine requirements.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building abilities.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making skills with a practical understanding of customer needs and market opportunities.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple sales opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Valid Gulf Cooperation Council driving license is required.
- Willingness to travel across the Gulf Cooperation Council region when required.
