Role Context
Sales Executive - Marine Propulsion will support Al‑Futtaim Automotive’s Marine division by developing new business, managing customer accounts, presenting technical and commercial proposals, and delivering tailored marine solutions for customers across UAE and wider Gulf Cooperation Council region. The role requires strong knowledge of boats, inboard engines, outboard engines, propulsion systems, marine applications, and customer operating needs. The successful candidate will contribute to territory growth, customer retention, market visibility, and sustainable revenue generation in the regional marine products sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales and marketing targets for marine engines, outboard motors, propulsion systems, and related marine products.
- Develop territory business plans that support annual revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition goals.
- Identify new prospects, marine operators, fleet customers, boat builders, and commercial accounts across assigned markets.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through regular market coverage, customer visits, and business development activity.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals that address customer requirements, vessel applications, and operational needs.
- Present marine engine and propulsion solutions clearly to customers, highlighting performance, reliability, lifecycle value, and service support.
- Build long‑term relationships with key accounts, boat builders, fleet operators, and marine industry stakeholders.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand current operations, future requirements, technical challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal technical, aftersales, parts, finance, and logistics teams to deliver effective customer solutions.
- Translate customer requirements into practical technical recommendations and commercially viable offers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing movement, product demand, and emerging marine technologies.
- Share market intelligence and product knowledge with internal teams to improve business awareness and sales capability.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, service expectations, and commercial agreements in line with company objectives.
- Maintain accurate customer records, quotations, opportunity updates, sales forecasts, and reporting information.
- Travel across the Gulf Cooperation Council region when required to support regional marine business development.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring professional follow‑up, accurate communication, and reliable support.
Ideal Profile
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience selling marine engines, outboard motors, inboard engines, or marine propulsion systems.
- At least 2 years of sales experience within the Gulf Cooperation Council region.
- Strong technical understanding of boats, marine applications, engine specifications, propulsion systems, and marine products.
- Experience working with commercial customers, boat builders, fleet operators, marine contractors, or marine equipment users.
- Strong business development, consultative selling, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to prepare and present technical and commercial proposals for customer‑specific requirements.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence in customer‑facing sales discussions.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making ability with a practical approach to sales opportunities and customer needs.
- Self‑motivated and able to work independently while managing several opportunities and customer priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Valid Gulf Cooperation Council driving license is required.
- Willingness to travel across regional markets when business needs require.
