DELANA Dubai is seeking a Rooms Controller to coordinate room allocations, inventory and guest arrivals, working with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and other teams to meet luxury standards.
Responsibilities include managing daily room assignments, monitoring availability across systems, planning arrivals and VIP requests, and ensuring rooms are ready and accurately communicated across departments.
As a Rooms Controller at DELANO Dubai you play a key role in ensuring the seamless coordination of room inventory allocations and guest arrivals. Working closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations and other operational teams you will ensure rooms are accurately assigned and ready in line with guest preferences, operational priorities and DELANO’s luxury lifestyle standards.
Manage daily room assignments considering guest preferences, VIP status, special requests and operational requirements.
Monitor room availability, status and inventory throughout the day, ensuring accuracy across systems.
Review upcoming arrivals and departures, proactively identifying priorities, early arrivals, room moves and special requirements VIP amp Special Requests.
Coordinate room allocations for VIPs, repeat guests and special occasions, ensuring preferences and requests are communicated and actioned.
Work closely with Housekeeping and Front Office to monitor room status and ensure rooms are prioritised and released efficiently.
Maintain clear communication between Front Office, Housekeeping, Reservations, Guest Experience and other departments to support smooth daily operations.
Ensure room status, allocations, traces, guest profiles and relevant information are accurately maintained within the PMS.
Anticipate potential room-related challenges and work proactively with the team to minimise delays and deliver a seamless arrival experience.
Support the Front Office leadership team in managing high-occupancy periods, room changes, upgrades and operational requirements.
Maintain accurate handovers and communicate outstanding room-related priorities to ensure continuity across shifts.
Previous experience in Front Office, Rooms Control or Reservations within a luxury or lifestyle hotel. Strong understanding of room inventory, allocation and Front Office operations. Experience working with a hotel Property Management System (PMS); Opera experience is an advantage. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong communication and coordination skills across operational departments. Confident working in a fast-paced environment, particularly during high occupancy and peak arrival periods. Strong guest focus with the ability to anticipate needs and resolve operational challenges proactively. Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
