Job summary

Roads and Transport Authority in the UAE seeks a Roads & Transport Engineering Technician for a full-time, field-based role. You will supervise routine and preventive maintenance on electromechanical systems, coordinate with subcontractors, and ensure safety at project sites and during handovers.

The role requires a Diploma in civil technology and 2+ years of related experience for Technical/Engineering Diploma (4+ years for Industrial High School).

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience for Technical/Engineering Diploma; 4+ years for Industrial High School.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily, routine, and preventive maintenance activities per approved schedules.
• Receive and respond to emergency maintenance requests from control centres and public authorities, coordinating swift action.
• Monitor contractor performance, validate joint measurements, and verify BoQ compliance prior to work approval.
• Attend site meetings for project handovers and prepare snag lists.
• Coordinate NOC evaluations for road structure-related works and provide site-based assessments.
• Inspect electromechanical systems and supervise corrective actions with subcontractors.
• Ensure safe conditions of mechanical systems at project sites.
