The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for turning customer visits into positive brand experiences and successful sales outcomes. The position combines front-line selling with practical store responsibilities, including transaction handling, product presentation, inventory participation, security awareness, and support for daily opening and closing routines. Consistent execution helps strengthen store performance, protect revenue, and build a professional retail environment that encourages repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage customers as soon as they enter the store and provide a warm, approachable welcome.


• Discover customer preferences and offer suitable product recommendations using current merchandise knowledge.


• Explain product features, availability, pricing, and relevant offers accurately.


• Deliver attentive service throughout the shopping journey and respond quickly when customers need additional assistance.


• Support customers in fitting rooms where applicable and follow up to improve purchase conversion.


• Identify appropriate opportunities to increase basket value through complementary product recommendations.


• Complete transactions efficiently through the Point of Sale system and maintain a smooth checkout experience.


• Promote gift cards and other approved retail offerings where relevant.


• Record customer information correctly in the designated database or retail system.


• Maintain a clean and organized cash wrap throughout operating hours.


• Work toward weekly sales goals and contribute actively to store revenue targets.


• Assist with store opening, closing, security controls, and other assigned operational routines.


• Provide store coverage in the absence of the Store Manager when authorized.


• Train new team members on routine POS functions and correct transaction procedures.


• Address basic POS errors and take corrective action within assigned authority.


• Follow pricing and ticketing procedures carefully to prevent avoidable losses.


• Participate in physical inventory counts and related stock-control activities.


• Keep merchandise areas, customer zones, counters, and fitting areas clean and presentable.


• Maintain a professional appearance in line with the required dress code.


• Attend store meetings and contribute positively to team communication.


• Follow company procedures and store policies consistently during every shift.
