Job summary

Canon Middle East FZ LLC is seeking a Resident Engineer to provide cost-effective maintenance and optimization of hardware, firmware, and related applications via remote support. You will trouble-shoot, train super-users, and liaise with account managers to identify opportunities while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates hold an engineering degree or diploma, have service-industry experience, and a GCC driving license.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree or Diploma in electronics, mechanics or software.
• Relevant experience in the service industry.
• Follows health and safety guidelines.
• Excellent fault-finding skills.
• Good customer handling and communication; able to instruct customers.
• Team player with focus on optimizing team output.
• Good commercial insight and business acumen.
• Aware of Canon representation in behavior and appearance.
• Current GCC driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line troubleshooting on standalone and connected products.
• Achieve high first-time fix rate and minimize recalls.
• Report labor and parts investment using CAESAR coding.
• Optimize stock inventory and balance with RTf visits.
• Identify commercial opportunities via OnSite-InSight with sales/marketing.
• Contribute to team development and service performance.
• Understand customer requirements to support Canon's Solution Business Strategy.
• Liaise with account managers on customer issues.
• Identify super-users and train on Canon products and drivers.
