Job summary

Canon EMEA is seeking an experienced Marketing & Sales leader to drive market analysis, pricing and product positioning across the Middle East. You will collaborate with Area Sales and partners to develop local strategies, coordinate launches, and manage budgeting and performance metrics for regional growth.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, fluency in English, and knowledge of Arabic, with extensive regional exposure and strong communication skills to align HQ and local market needs.

Qualifications

• University level or equivalent with 15+ years of work experience.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge will be a plus.

Responsibilities

Job Description

The Candidate will be responsible for promoting Canon Products & Solutions awareness and profile across the regions via events, PR, marketing activities, internal promotion, and partner collaboration. He / She will also be responsible for designing action plans for country support and regional marketing / sales activity to stimulate market awareness and sales achievement.

Responsibilities

Market Analysis & Strategy

• Analyse market size, competition, pricing and market dynamics across assigned countries.
• Develop local sales strategies and business plans in collaboration with Area Sales and partners.
• Develop regional marketing and sales action plans to drive market awareness and sales.
• Monitor Canon market share and provide regular market intelligence and competitor analysis.

Pricing & Product Positioning

• Define product pricing and positioning based on market and competitive insights.
• Negotiate product support and pricing with BU.
• Support tender pricing, key accounts and special deals in collaboration with Area Sales.
• Manage the tender pipeline and ensure effective follow-up with Area Sales.

Product Launch & Promotion

• Coordinate new product launches across Middle East markets to ensure timely and successful market introduction.
• Manage product lifecycle from launch to end-of-life through appropriate strategies, promotions and schemes.
• Drive strategic product priorities and targets in line with management direction.

Product Training & Development

• Deliver product training for internal teams and Canon distributors across the region.
• Coordinate local training programs and ensure product knowledge is maintained.
• Evaluate trainee knowledge and maintain up-to-date training records.

Sales & Marketing Budget & Performance

• Develop annual sales targets, sales plans and marketing budgets in collaboration with Area Sales.
• Advise Area Sales on product strategy to strengthen business structures and market coverage.
• Monitor monthly sales performance against agreed plans & implement corrective actions where required.

Gross Profit Management

• Monitor and manage gross profit across special promotions, tender pricing and support deals.
• Track agreed pricing and support from approval through to actual delivery.
• Ensure effective management of incoming and outgoing commercial support.

Marketing & Business Development

• Plan, manage and coordinate market development & promotional activities across assigned markets.
• Ensure activities are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards & company guidelines.
• Drive initiatives that strengthen Canon’s product and brand awareness across the region.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain effective communication and coordination with HQ on budgets, product launches, pricing support and business performance.
• Prepare and submit required reports, forecasts and business updates within agreed timelines.
• Ensure alignment between regional activities, HQ requirements and local market needs.

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience

• University level or equivalent with 15+ years’ of work experience
• High level of relevant knowledge and experience coupled with the ability to relate technical information to non- technical people at all levels.
• Previous experience of formal classroom training desirable but proven coaching techniques may be an acceptable alternative (formal training to be learned).
• Fluency in written and Spoken English, Knowledge of Arabic.
• High level of written and spoken communications required
• Professional appearance, attitude and communication style.
• Familiarity with MS Office Applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Must be fluent in English. Arabic knowledge will be a plus

• Able to communicate, at times involving complex technical information, to technicians, service and marketing personnel in all Canon Locations, and distributors
