Job summary

Jak Consultancy seeks an experienced Resident Engineer – Civil/Structural to oversee major projects in Dubai. You will ensure construction aligns with approved drawings, specifications and schedules, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include site supervision, contract administration, contractor management and multidisciplinary coordination, with leadership of site teams to resolve technical challenges promptly.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of civil/structural engineering experience
• Minimum 5+ years in resident engineer or senior site engineer roles
• Strong experience in construction supervision, structural works, contractor management and multidisciplinary coordination
• Experience liaising with consultants, contractors, clients, sub‑consultants and authorities

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, codes and contract requirements
• Lead site teams and ensure delivery to project schedules

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer – Civil / Structural to oversee construction activities, technical compliance, quality, contract administration, and site delivery for major projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction is executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, contractual requirements, safety standards, and agreed project schedules.

The role requires strong experience in site supervision, structural engineering, contract administration, contractor management, quality control, and multidisciplinary coordination, along with the ability to lead site teams and proactively resolve construction and technical challenges.

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant professional certifications or registrations will be an advantage.

Experience

• 10–15 years of relevant experience in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Resident Engineer, Senior Site Engineer, or equivalent site leadership position.
• Strong experience in construction supervision, structural works, contractor management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, clients, sub-consultants, and relevant authorities.
