Job summary

Tanqeeb seeks a Senior Resident/Site Engineer in Abu Dhabi to lead a consultant supervision team, ensuring construction complies with drawings, specs, and contracts. You will coordinate with clients, contractors, and authorities while resolving technical issues on high-rise projects.

The ideal candidate has 20+ years of UAE experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and a valid DMT license, with strong leadership and coordination skills to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Valid UAE DMT license/registration.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant experience.
• Experience as Resident Engineer/Senior Site Engineer on high-rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of building construction, structural works, quality control.
• Proven ability to lead site supervision teams.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Knowledge of UAE building regulations and authority approvals.
• Ability to review shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the consultant's site supervision team.

• Coordinate with Client, Contractor, PM team, Consultants, and Authorities.
• Review technical submissions and respond to site-related issues.
• Monitor quality, progress, safety, and compliance of works.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues with stakeholders.
• Ensure works comply with UAE regulations and authority requirements.
• Attend and lead site, progress, and coordination meetings.
• Maintain effective communication and reporting to PM/Client team.

• Lead and manage the consultant's site supervision team.
• Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Coordinate effectively with the Client, Contractor, Project Management team, Consultants, and Authorities.
• Review technical submissions and ensure timely responses to site-related technical matters.
• Monitor quality, progress, safety, and compliance of construction works.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction issues in coordination with the relevant parties.
• Ensure that project works comply with applicable UAE regulations and authority requirements.
• Attend and lead relevant site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings.

Maintain effective communication and reporting to the Project Management/Client team.

Requirements

• Proven UAE experience in a Resident Engineer/Senior Site Engineering role, preferably on high-rise building projects.

• Proven ability to lead and manage site supervision teams effectively.
• Experience in coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and relevant authorities.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, DMT requirements, codes, standards, and authority approvals.
• Ability to review and monitor shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, inspection requests, and technical documents.
• Strong understanding of project specifications, contract requirements, quality standards, and construction schedules.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage site issues and ensure timely resolution in coordination with the relevant project stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.
