Job summary

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is seeking a Reservations Agent to assist in the Reservations department, manage guest room bookings by phone, email or fax, and ensure timely confirmations. The role requires strong communication, exceptional customer service, and accuracy in OPMS data entry.

You will handle group bookings, stay informed on rates and policies, and contribute to guest satisfaction while promoting our resort and sister properties.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
• Strong customer service and guest relations skills.
• Proficiency with hotel reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to process reservations quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of room categories, rates, packages, and hotel policies.
• Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Able to meet sales and upselling targets.
• Good telephone etiquette and professional email communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the effective operation of the Reservations department to meet hotel goals.
• Receive, process and confirm guest room reservations via phone, email, or fax.
• Respond within 24 hours to reservation inquiries according to standards.
• Support group bookings by updating group rooming lists in OPMS and billing instructions.
• Maintain knowledge of hotel products, rates, facilities, and promotions.
• Promote sister properties and liaise with Sales and Front Desk as needed.
• Handle no-shows, cancellations, and payment policies per policy.
