Job summary

InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa is seeking a Reservations Agent to be a first point of contact, handling bookings and inquiries with warmth and accuracy.

You’ll respond across channels, stay updated on rates and packages, up-sell where appropriate and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth operations. Excellent English and flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Reservations or Front Office.
• Good communication skills with a warm, professional and guest-focused approach.
• Fluent English, with additional languages considered an advantage.
• Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.
• Confidence using computers and entering reservation information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple guest requests efficiently.
• A positive team-player attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues and other departments.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Handle individual and group reservations and amendments through the hotel’s reservation system.
• Respond to guest enquiries by phone and other channels in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Keep up to date with room rates, promotions and hotel information to provide accurate details.
• Upsell rooms and recommend suitable options to maximise occupancy and revenue.
• Process reservations from travel agencies, wholesalers, sales teams and reservation centres.
• Provide information about the resort, facilities and local attractions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Front Office and other departments to ensure accurate details.
• Maintain reservation records, daily logs and reports per hotel standards.
