Job summary

Six Senses The Palm, Dubai is seeking a Reservation Host to manage reservations operations, from intake to rate application, ensuring accurate guest profiles and timely communications. The role supports room allocations, special requests, and system updates with a focus on service standards.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (hospitality preferred) and at least 1 year in luxury hotels, with strong MS Office and PMS/GDS/CRS familiarity, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience in a similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
• MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; familiar with PMS, GDS and CRS platforms.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English; ability to travel on single status.

Responsibilities

• Process new reservations, update and clean up reservations, process advance deposits, answer reservations inbox emails within 24 hours, process reports (No Shows, ORS Comments, Commission, etc.).
• Assist in allocation of rooms.
• Check and handle special requests and hard blocking rooms as needed.
• Contact guests or travel agents to clarify discrepancies before arrival.
• Track future room availabilities based on reservations.
• Monitor and update internet reservation system with hosts.
• Assist in determining room rates based on selling tactics of the resort.
• Assist in management of guest history and profile system.
• Ensure all reservations daily are completed with all necessary guest information and rate/market/source codes.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Reservation Host, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:

• Process new reservations, update and clean up reservations, process advance deposits, answer reservations inbox emails within 24 hours, process reports (No Shows, ORS Comments, Commission, etc.) and other reservation related duties as assigned.
• Assist in all allocation of rooms.
• Check and handle for special requests and hard blocking rooms as needed.
• Contact guests or travel agents to clarify any discrepancies in preferences or requests before guests’ arrival.
• Track future room availabilities based on reservations.
• Monitor and update internet reservation system in coordinate with respected hosts.
• Assist in determining room rates based on the selling tactics of the resort.
• Assist in the management of the guest history and profile system.
• Ensure all reservations daily are completed with all necessary guest information, profile information and rate/market/source codes with accuracy and efficiency.
• Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
• Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
• Run daily reports for Reservation department, operational departments, Sales & Marketing.

Qualifications

To execute the position of Reservation Host, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year’s experience in a similar setting. Hospitality diploma/degreefrom a recognized hospitality school is preferred.

Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including PMS, GDS and CRS platforms. I have knowledge of hotel/resort and policies regarding reservations, discounts, MICE platforms and detailed procedures in handling local and overseas room bookings.

I have an excellent command of written and spoken English, and I am able to live in a remote location for extended periods of time and travel on single status.
