Job summary

Reboot Monkey is seeking freelance Data Center Technicians to deliver on-demand support to global data centers. You will install, configure, and maintain servers and networking gear, troubleshoot complex issues, and manage Linux/Windows systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

You will collaborate with remote teams and vendors, document tasks and guide security enhancements, while enjoying flexible hours and remote, round-the-clock support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations, with a strong focus on independent or freelance projects.
• Education: Associate or Bachelor's preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco/Juniper) to ensure secure and efficient operations.
• Manage Linux and Windows-based systems with updates, patches, and security improvements.
• Document installations, repairs, and performance with comprehensive reports to remote management.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote teams and vendors to improve data center operations.
