Job description

Regional Logistics Manager - Middle East

The Logistics Manager runs the flow of goods between Origins, the Dubai distribution Centre and 24 stores in six countries, from inbound to store delivery, through customs and regulatory compliance. This role manages four Logistics Executives, owns the carrier and broker relationships, and is accountable for service, cost and compliance on every lane.

The role turns a team of strong individual owners into one operation: shared priorities, one escalation path, one set of KPIs read by supply chain, retail, merchandising and finance.

Job responsibilities

Team leadership

  • Lead, develop and evaluate the four Logistics Executives; set objectives, run the weekly logistics review, hold the mid-year and annual reviews.
  • Keep ownership clear: one owner and one backup per task, cover during leave and peaks.
  • Be the single escalation point for stores, merchandising and retail on any logistics topic.

Inbound and control tower

  • Own end-to-end visibility from departure in Europe to store receipt: in-transit tracking, lead times, claims.
  • Steer the inbound forwarder: capacity planning, service levels, rate card application, invoice reconciliation.
  • Plan and secure the inbound for events, window installations and store openings.

Customs, duties and regulatory

  • Guarantee customs compliance in six countries: declarations, duty optimization, audits, archives.
  • Own product regulatory affairs with the local authorities and inspection bodies: registrations, licenses, CITES.
  • Keep business continuity plans current for regulated categories.

Carriers, brokers and tenders

  • Manage the carrier and broker portfolio: contracts, SLAs, performance reviews, claims and insurance.
  • Lead tenders and renewals with Legal and the central transport team.
  • Drive carrier integrations with the delivery management platform so every shipment is tracked end to end.

Cost and performance

  • Own the logistics budget lines: transport, customs, brokerage, destruction, packaging.
  • Validate the full cost monthly; challenge every deviation from the agreed rate cards.
  • Publish the logistics KPIs to retail, merchandising and finance: lead time, on-time delivery, cost per unit, claims, compliance.

Operations, environment and projects

  • Supervise destruction and recycling, environment and HSE audits, out-of-system flows and building logistics.
  • Prepare network changes with the distribution center.
  • Document and improve the SOPs.
Profile

Experience

  • 6 to 10 years in logistics or supply chain, with at least 3 years managing a team.
  • Hands-on knowledge of GCC customs and regulatory frameworks.
  • Track record with freight forwarders, express carriers and customs brokers: contracts, SLAs, disputes.
  • Luxury, fashion or high-value goods logistics is a strong plus; events logistics an advantage.

Skills

  • SAP, Excel at advanced level, Power BI for reporting.
  • Cost control: rate cards, invoice reconciliation, budget follow-up.
  • Contract & Tender Management in Transportation & Customs Brokerage services
  • Structured writing and presenting, in English, for retail and executive audiences.

Behaviors

  • Calm under peak pressure and able to decide fast with partial information.
  • Develops people: gives ownership, coaches, holds the line on standards.
  • Rigorous on compliance; comfortable saying no to a store or a supplier when the rule requires it.

Languages

  • English fluent. French and/or Arabic an asset.
