Job summary

Confidential Company in UAE seeks a seasoned Estimation / Quantity Surveying professional to lead tender preparation, cost estimation and commercial evaluation for civil, structural and architectural projects. Responsibilities include reviewing documents, preparing BOQs, rate build-ups and supplier quotations, while coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliant tender submissions.

Minimum 5 years in estimation/tendering within construction is required, with UAE-based candidates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in estimation, tendering or quantity surveying within construction
• Strong hands‑on experience in: Quantity take‑off, BOQ preparation, Cost estimation, Rate analysis and rate build‑ups, Tender preparation and submission, Supplier and subcontractor quotations, Commercial comparison and evaluation
• Familiarity with FIDIC and common measurement methods such as POMI, NRM or CESMM is preferred
• Good written and spoken English
• Candidates should be currently based in the UAE

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs and contract requirements
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies and missing information and prepare tender queries and RFIs
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for civil, structural and architectural works
• Prepare and review BOQs and pricing schedules
• Develop detailed rate build-ups covering materials, labour, equipment, subcontractors and other project costs
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and prepare commercial comparison sheets
• Analyse market rates and maintain updated cost information for construction materials and subcontract packages
• Prepare project cost estimates, preliminary budgets and tender pricing
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning and project teams during tender preparation
• Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for scope compliance, exclusions and commercial terms
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support value engineering during the tender stage
• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions, clarifications and supporting documentation
• Maintain tender records, pricing files, quotation databases and cost benchmarks
• Support post-tender clarifications and commercial negotiations when required
• Assist with variations, cost analysis and commercial matters when required

• Candidates should be currently based in the UAE.

Software Skills

Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD, with practical experience in one or more estimating and quantity take‑off tools such as:

• Cubit or similar estimating software

Preferred Profile

Preference will be given to candidates who:

• Have direct UAE contracting experience.


• Have personally prepared and submitted complete tenders.


• Can independently perform quantity take‑offs and develop detailed rate build‑ups.


• Have experience with building, residential, commercial, infrastructure or fit‑out projects.


• Have current knowledge of UAE supplier, subcontractor and construction market rates.


• Can join immediately or within a short notice period.
