The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in estimating within building, civil, infrastructure, or related sectors, with strong MS Excel skills and familiarity with estimating software.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Estimator in construction and building projects.
• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and estimating/tendering software.
• read and interpret construction drawings and BOQs.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and project requirements to identify scope and cost requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for construction and building projects.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to identify materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and other project cost requirements.
• Prepare detailed pricing and cost breakdowns for tenders and project proposals.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Compare supplier and subcontractor quotations and ensure commercial competitiveness.
• Develop accurate estimates for materials, manpower, equipment, subcontracting, and other direct and indirect project costs.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Project teams to clarify technical requirements and project scope.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, risks, and potential cost impacts during the estimation process.
• Maintain and update cost databases, supplier rates, productivity rates, and historical project costing information.
• Support the preparation of tender submissions and commercial proposals within required deadlines.
• Conduct market and cost analysis to ensure pricing reflects current construction market conditions.
• Participate in tender clarification meetings and respond to commercial and technical queries where required.
• Assist in reviewing variations, additional works, and change orders from a costing perspective.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of estimates, quotations, assumptions, and tender submissions.
• Ensure estimates are prepared in accordance with company procedures, project specifications, and commercial requirements.

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and pricing for construction and building projects. The role will work closely with the tendering, commercial, procurement, engineering, and project teams to ensure that project costs are accurately assessed and aligned with project requirements, specifications, and budgets.

Required Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as an Estimator within the construction and building projects industry.
• Strong experience in estimating for building, civil, infrastructure, fit-out, or related construction projects.
• Proven experience preparing detailed BOQ, quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and tender pricing.
• Experience working with drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience obtaining and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is preferred.
• Experience with large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, specifications, and project costing.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and construction estimating/tendering software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BOQs.
