Job Details

Quantity Surveyor – Pre-Contract Snapshot. Role: Quantity Surveyor. Location: United Arab Emirates, UAE. Gender: Any. Candidate Nationality: Any. Job Type: Full-time.

Salary: 9,000 – 16,000 AED per month (estimated). Confirm final offer with the employer.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, project budgets, and early-stage commercial assessments for construction projects.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare accurate Bills of Quantities for tender and procurement use.
• Develop tender documentation, commercial schedules, pricing formats, and supporting documents for the tendering process.
• Evaluate contractor quotations, compare commercial submissions, and prepare tender analysis reports for management review.
• Support procurement activities by providing cost data, BOQ details, budget checks, and commercial input during sourcing.
• Assist with contract administration activities, documentation review, and compliance with commercial requirements.
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets during design development and highlight cost risks or budget movements.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, project teams, procurement teams, and internal stakeholders on commercial matters.
• Provide value engineering and cost optimization solutions without compromising quality, specifications, or project objectives.
• Review drawings, specifications, scope documents, and contract conditions to ensure commercial accuracy before tender release.
• Maintain organized records for estimates, BOQs, tender documents, tender queries, quotation comparisons, and commercial approvals.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in pre-contract quantity surveying activities.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, cost estimation, tendering, tender analysis, and commercial documentation.
• Familiarity with FIDIC and standard forms of contract.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX, PlanSwift, or other quantity surveying software tools.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, procurement teams, and project stakeholders.
• Detail-focused approach with strong accuracy in measurements, pricing, quantities, and commercial reviews.
• Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects will be an advantage.
• MRICS or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.
