Job summary

Sofitel Dubai Downtown, located in the heart of Downtown Dubai, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support procurement activities across hotel operations and to maintain strong vendor relations.

Responsibilities include obtaining quotations, market surveys, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-control initiatives, and maintaining procurement records. The role requires 2–5 years of relevant experience and a diploma or degree in Hospitality or Procurement, with fluent English essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Hospitality or Procurement.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement or hospitality procurement.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Support procurement activities by obtaining quotations, conducting market surveys and ensuring competitive pricing.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery, follow up on undelivered items, and maintain accurate purchasing records.
• Assist the Purchasing Manager with negotiations, vendor registration, purchase orders and cost-control initiatives.
• Maintain updated supplier catalogs, inventory records, and procurement documentation to ensure efficient purchasing operations.
