A leading consultancy firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a degree in Civil Engineering and over 20 years of experience in Project Management. The role includes monitoring project performance, preparing control reports, and maintaining strong relationships among stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of engineering processes and excellent communication skills. This position aims at delivering high-quality services while ensuring project safety and efficiency.

Job description

Responsibilities

• To monitor project performance and progress and keep the client informed of the consequences of any short fall.
• Review of all concession and deviation requests from EPC Contractor and other parties and make appropriate recommendations to the PMT.
• To adequately monitor EPC Contractor’s performance, quality and safety and that the work is in full compliance within the scope of the EPC contract.
• Participate in weekly/monthly/extraordinary review meetings.
• Prepare project control reports as required by CONTRACT between PMC and Client.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University with minimum of 20+ years relevant work experience at senior Project Management level.
• Age not more than 60 years.
• A Degree in Business Administration or Project /Program Management is desirable.
• Requires demonstrated ability to have managed similar Projects Internationally. Need to work along with the other teams working on Tank Farm Construction for the same Project, especially on Interface aspects. Basic awareness on FEED, Detailed Engineering, relationship / compliance on FEED vs Detailed Engineering etc.
• Basic Awareness on Engineering such as PFD, P&ID, 3 D Modelling/PDMS by CONTRACTOR, HAZOP requirements etc.
• Basic awareness on Interface Requirements as specified in the Contract Agreement on battery limit, tie in points, Instrument/ Telcom aspects etc.
• Basic Awareness of the Procurement Cycle on Equipment and the required Status of Vendors on pre-qualified etc.
• Basic knowledge of Equipment Erection. Hydro test of pipelines etc.
• Good written Communication in English on behalf of the Client.
• To have a cordial relationship among Client, Contractor and any Third Party without compromising on Project Quality and Safety.
