Job summary

Talent Specialist Limited (TSL) is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major Electrical Engineering Construction projects across the UAE. The role requires delivering large-scale EPC/EPCM assignments in Oil & Gas and industrial sectors with a strong emphasis on safety, schedule, and budget.

The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in HV/LV, substations, switchgear, MCC, instrumentation and control, and hazardous area installations, with a proven track record in UAE/GCC or

Qualifications

• Requires a Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2/APM or equivalent) preferred.
• Membership of a recognized engineering/project management institution advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead full project lifecycle from award to commissioning and handover.
• Deliver complex Electrical Engineering Construction projects in Oil & Gas/industrial environments.
• Manage planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting and resources.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Drive performance with risk, commercial and stakeholder management.
• Be primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, specifications and HSE requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commercial and commissioning.

Senior Project Manager - Electrical Engineering Construction (Oil & Gas)

Opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of major Electrical Engineering Construction projects across the UAE.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a commercially astute project professional with extensive experience managing Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) construction activities within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Energy or Industrial sectors.

The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects safely, on schedule, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full project lifecycle from award through to commissioning and handover.
• Deliver complex Electrical Engineering Construction projects within Oil & Gas and industrial environments.
• Manage project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities.
• Drive project performance through effective risk, commercial, and stakeholder management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
• Manage multidisciplinary teams across engineering, construction, commercial, and commissioning functions.
• Provide regular progress and financial reporting to senior leadership.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager delivering Electrical Engineering Construction projects within the Oil & Gas sector.
• Strong experience within UAE, GCC, or international EPC/EPCM project environments.
• Demonstrable expertise in:
• High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems
• Substations and power distribution
• Switchgear and MCC installations
• Cable containment and cabling infrastructure
• Instrumentation & Control systems
• E&I construction and commissioning
• Hazardous area installations
• Experience managing projects within refineries, petrochemical facilities, gas processing plants, terminals, offshore facilities, or industrial process plants.
• Strong commercial, contractual, and project controls knowledge.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team management skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• PMP, APM, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification preferred.
• Membership of a recognised engineering or project management institution is advantageous.
