Job summary

Al-Futtaim Technologies in Dubai seeks an experienced Project Engineer - ICT & ELV to support the ICT, ELV, and AV project delivery. You will design, document, and coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, budgets and schedules.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in IT/Communications or related field, 7–10 years’ experience in ICT/ELV/AV, and PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in ICT, ELV, AV, or related project implementation.
• PMP certification is preferred/required for the role.
• Hands-on experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of ICT/ELV/AV systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documents including submittals, method statements, operation and maintenance manuals, and training materials.
• Develop and review technical proposals, system architecture, schematic drawings, and compliance documentation.
• Review engineering and drafting outputs before submission to consultants.
• Attend consultant and client meetings to provide technical clarifications and presentations.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Recommend suitable technical solutions that meet project requirements, site conditions, and commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate project records and completed technical documentation.

Job Overview

Al-Futtaim Technologies is looking for an experienced Project Engineer - ICT & ELV to support the technical delivery and implementation of ICT, ELV, and AV projects in Dubai, UAE. The role involves technical documentation, system design, engineering coordination, consultant communication, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.

The successful candidate will work with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects meet technical specifications, quality standards, budgets, and delivery schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Management

• Prepare technical documents including material submittals, method statements, operation and maintenance manuals, and training materials.
• Develop and review technical proposals, system architecture, schematic drawings, and compliance documentation.
• Review engineering and drafting outputs before submission to consultants.
• Attend consultant and client meetings to provide technical clarifications and presentations.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, consultants, and project stakeholders.
• Recommend suitable technical solutions that meet project requirements, site conditions, and commercial objectives.
• Maintain accurate project records and completed technical documentation.

ICT, ELV & AV Engineering

• Support the implementation of structured cabling, ICT, ELV, security, access control, AV, BGM, GRMS, and related systems.
• Ensure engineering designs comply with project specifications, local regulations, and manufacturer recommendations.
• Apply technical knowledge to improve project quality and system performance.
• Support system integration and coordination between different ICT, ELV, and AV solutions.

Project Execution

• Monitor pre-construction activities including drawings, technical submissions, and material approvals.
• Coordinate project resources with the project management team.
• Support installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules and requirements.
• Ensure project activities are completed on time and according to quality standards.
• Track project costs, resources, manpower, and schedules against planned targets.

Network & System Support

• Support basic network installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Assist with ICT/ELV/AV system integration and commissioning.
• Apply knowledge of industry standards, codes, and technical practices.
• Use basic AutoCAD skills for reviewing and coordinating technical drawings.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Communications, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in ICT, ELV, AV, or related project implementation.
• PMP certification is preferred/required for the role.
• Hands-on experience with installation, testing, commissioning, and integration of ICT/ELV/AV systems.
• Experience with structured cabling, ICT infrastructure, security systems, access control, AV, and other ELV solutions.
• Knowledge of ICT/ELV/AV standards, regulations, practices, and procedures.
• Understanding of QS and QC processes.
• Knowledge of network installation, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
