This position leads the technical development of integrated technology projects from pre-construction planning through installation, testing and commissioning. The Technical Manager turns tender requirements and site constraints into workable system architectures while coordinating consultants, clients, vendors, drafting personnel and project teams. Decisions made in this role directly affect compliance, resource utilization, delivery schedules, system performance and project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical planning and engineering activities for ICT, ELV and professional audiovisual projects.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements, training manuals and operation and maintenance documentation.
• Develop detailed technical proposals containing system architecture, schematic drawings and compliance schedules.
• Design solutions for structured cabling, security, access control, audiovisual, background music and guest-room management systems.
• Review tender specifications, site conditions and client requirements before selecting products and technologies.
• Recommend cost-effective designs that meet performance expectations without compromising required standards.
• Examine drawings produced by the drafting team before submission to consultants.
• Meet consultants to review submittals, answer technical queries and close design comments.
• Present proposed solutions to clients and explain design principles, system capabilities and implementation requirements.
• Maintain productive relationships with customers, manufacturers, vendors and technology partners.
• Monitor pre-construction deliverables and confirm that drawings and material submissions follow the approved project plan.
• Coordinate with the project head to secure suitable engineering, design and site resources.
• Verify compliance with local authority regulations, project specifications and manufacturer recommendations.
• Guide installation, configuration, integration, testing and commissioning activities.
• Resolve technical challenges involving networks, devices, interfaces and system interoperability.
• Maintain complete records of approved designs, technical decisions and completed project documents.
• Track engineering effort, project costs, budget performance, schedules and workforce deployment.
• Identify emerging delays or resource constraints and implement corrective measures.
• Apply quantity surveying and quality-control principles during technical evaluation and delivery.
• Support project completion within agreed timelines while maintaining commercial awareness and technical quality.

Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree in information technology, communications, electrical engineering or another relevant technical discipline. PMP certification is required, supported by seven to ten years of practical experience delivering ICT, ELV, security, audiovisual or structured-cabling projects. The position requires hands-on knowledge of system installation and commissioning, not only design supervision. Applicants should understand network implementation, device configuration, troubleshooting, integration standards, regulatory codes and manufacturer requirements. Experience managing technical submissions and consultant approvals will be particularly valuable.
