Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a skilled ELV Technician to install, test, and troubleshoot ELV systems in Dubai. The role covers IP CCTV, structured cabling, fiber optics, access control, and intercom systems, with strict adherence to drawings and project specs.

You will read ELV drawings, coordinate with site teams, and ensure quality through testing and documentation. UAE experience in ELV is preferred, with a Diploma/Bachelor's in a related field and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, commission, and troubleshoot ELV systems.
• Handle installation and configuration of IP-based CCTV systems, including cameras, NVRs, switches, and related equipment.
• Carry out structured cabling installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Perform data/network cable installation and termination as per project requirements.
• Conduct Fluke testing and certification of copper structured cabling and maintain proper test reports.
• Perform fiber optic cabling installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot access control systems, including controllers, readers, locks, and associated devices.
• Install and troubleshoot intercom systems.
• Read and understand ELV drawings, layouts, schematics, and cable schedules.
• Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other MEP disciplines during installation and commissioning.
• Identify site issues and provide effective technical solutions.
• Ensure all installations are completed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and required quality standards.
• Knowledge on SIRA Regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation, testing reports, and commissioning records.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering field.

• 2–4 years of relevant UAE experience in ELV systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with IP CCTV systems.

• Good experience in structured cabling installation, configuration, testing, and termination.

• Practical experience with Fluke testing and interpretation of test results.

• Experience in fiber optic cabling and termination.

• Experience with access control and intercom systems.

• Ability to troubleshoot ELV systems and resolve site-related technical issues.

• Good understanding of ELV drawings, cable schedules, and system architecture.

• Good communication and coordination skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a project/site team.
