Job summary

Innovo Group in Dubai seeks a Project Engineer – HVAC to plan, coordinate, and deliver HVAC works on construction projects in line with drawings, specifications, UAE regulations, and approved budgets.

You will support the Project Manager, review drawings and BOQs, coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors, and help in testing, commissioning, and handover while ensuring QA/QC and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in HVAC works within construction / MEP projects.
• Minimum 2-3 years in a project engineering role.
• Prior experience in UAE projects is required.
• Knowledge of UAE authority requirements (DM, DEWA, Estidama, Trakhees, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute HVAC works from initiation to handover.
• Review HVAC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts.
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings coordination, and work programs.
• Monitor progress and ensure HVAC activities meet project milestones.
• Assist Project Manager in overall project control and reporting.
• Provide technical support to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
• Coordinate HVAC works with Plumbing, Firefighting, Electrical, and Civil teams.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and delivery.
• Attend coordination meetings and prepare technical reports.
• Oversee testing, balancing, commissioning, and performance verification.
• Assist in cost monitoring, variation orders, and claims preparation.

Key Accountabilities

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer – HVAC is responsible for planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of HVAC works on construction projects in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, UAE authority regulations, quality standards, approved budget, and project schedules. The role supports the Project Manager in ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of HVAC systems.

Project Planning & Execution

• Plan, coordinate, and execute HVAC works from initiation to handover
• Review HVAC drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contracts
• Prepare method statements, shop drawings coordination, and work programs
• Monitor progress and ensure HVAC activities meet project milestones
• Assist Project Manager in overall project control and reporting

Technical Responsibilities

• Ensure HVAC systems comply with project specifications and UAE codes
• Provide technical support to site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
• Resolve technical issues, design discrepancies, and site coordination matters
• Coordinate HVAC works with Plumbing, Firefighting, Electrical, and Civil teams

Coordination & Communication

• Liaise with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for material procurement and delivery
• Attend coordination meetings and prepare technical reports

Quality Control & Commissioning

• Ensure HVAC works comply with QA/QC standards
• Review and submit technical material submittals
• Oversee testing, balancing, commissioning, and performance verification
• Support snag clearance and final handover documentation

Cost Control & Documentation

• Ensure monthly Labour budgets are within agreed values
• Ensure monthly progress targets are achievedTarget zero wastage for materials
• Assist in cost monitoring, variation orders, and claims preparation
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and as-built drawings
• Support procurement team in technical evaluation of HVAC materials

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with site HSE policies and safety regulations
• Promote safe working practices and attend safety meetings
