Job summary

Emagine Solutions FZE in the UAE seeks a Site Engineer – Building Construction with 2–3 years in building projects. You will supervise site activities, review drawings, and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work meets schedule, budget, and quality.

You will work with the Site Management team to resolve technical issues, maintain safety standards, and prepare progress reports and close-out documentation for handover.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in building construction or general construction.
• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Experience with site supervision, coordination, and subcontractor management.
• Strong ability to read construction drawings and understand quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and assess material, manpower and equipment needs.
• Monitor site progress against the project programme and report delays.
• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate workforce and subcontractors.
• Liaise with Site Management, consultants and subcontractors on progress and changes.
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspections and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure timely, safe, quality outputs.
• Close out consultant/authority snag lists and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Assist with project completion, handover, and demobilisation reports.

Site Engineer – Building Construction

Our client is a well-established UAE-based construction company with extensive experience in building and construction projects across the UAE. The Building Division delivers projects across residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and other sectors, covering civil, structural and architectural works.

Responsible for coordinating and supervising site activities to ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, budget, and project schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review project drawings and accurately assess material, manpower, and equipment requirements; coordinate material requests with the Procurement Department.
• Monitor site progress against the approved project programme and report delays or discrepancies, recommending corrective actions where required.
• Supervise daily site activities and coordinate the workforce, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure works are completed efficiently and according to specifications.
• Liaise regularly with the Site Management team, consultants, and subcontractors regarding project progress, technical issues, drawing changes, and manpower requirements.
• Coordinate with the QA/QC team to conduct quality inspections and ensure completed works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure assigned works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality.
• Review and close out consultant/authority snag lists and ensure corrective works are completed within the required timeframe.
• Assist with project completion, handover, and site demobilization activities, including preparation of relevant reports and documentation.

People Management:

• Guide and motivate site personnel and subcontractors to maintain productivity, quality, and adherence to project requirements.
• Support the development of junior engineers and site team members.
