Job summary

Azizi Developments in Dubai seeks an experienced Project Engineer to supervise civil construction on high-rise tower projects, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and UAE standards. You will coordinate with consultants, contractors, and MEP teams to maintain quality and timelines, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and 8+ years of UAE experience, preferably with supervision firms, in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil inspection.
• Experience with high-rise tower construction projects in Dubai preferred.
• Experience with consultant/supervision firms in the UAE is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all civil construction activities to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and project requirements.
• Conduct site inspections for excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete, masonry, finishing, and external works.
• Verify materials and workmanship against project specs and submittals.
• Witness concrete pours, reinforcement works, waterproofing, and structural elements.
• Review inspection requests and ensure timely inspections and NCRs when needed.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Contractors, Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP teams to resolve site issues.
• Monitor progress ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
• Prepare daily inspection reports and maintain records.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regs, local authority requirements, and international standards.
• Attend progress meetings and provide technical input on civil works.
• Verify as-built works prior to handover and support project close-out.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and monitoring civil construction activities on high-rise tower projects to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, UAE construction standards, and applicable authority regulations. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with a Consultant/Supervision firm in the UAE and possess a strong understanding of quality control procedures, inspection processes, and construction best practices. You will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure that all civil works are executed to the highest quality standards while meeting project timelines, safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor all civil construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections for excavation, foundations, reinforced concrete, masonry, finishing, and external works.
• Verify that materials and workmanship comply with project specifications and approved material submittals.
• Witness and inspect site activities, including concrete pours, reinforcement works, waterproofing, and structural elements.
• Review contractor inspection requests (IRs) and ensure timely inspections and approvals.
• Identify non-conforming works and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required, while ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Contractors, Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP teams to resolve site issues.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and project schedules.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, site observation reports, and maintain inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality regulations, local authority requirements, and international construction standards.
• Attend progress meetings and provide technical input related to civil works.
• Verify as-built works prior to handover and support project close-out activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in civil inspection, with significant exposure to high-rise tower construction projects in Dubai.
• Mandatory experience working with Consultant/Supervision firms in the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete structures, finishing works, and civil construction methodologies.
• Good understanding of Dubai Municipality regulations, local authority requirements, and international construction standards.
• Experience reviewing inspection requests, material inspections, and quality documentation.
