Role Context
The Program Manager will own strategic and tactical initiatives within Amazon's fulfillment center capacity-planning function. The role covers capacity forecasting, storage planning, site audits, performance reporting, facility design coordination, bin-slotting optimization, and the delivery of projects that expand the regional fulfillment network. The successful candidate will work with fulfillment center operations, supply chain, engineering, technology, finance, launch teams, and senior leadership.
Strong business judgment, advanced analytical skills, project discipline, and the ability to influence multiple stakeholders are essential to supporting Amazon’s continued growth across AMET.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the fulfillment center capacity‑planning charter across the regional network.
- Manage fulfillment center capacity performance, planning mechanisms, and metric reporting.
- Gather operational and planning data from multiple internal sources.
- Validate data quality and create a consistent view of regional capacity requirements.
- Analyze forecasted demand against available fulfillment center storage and processing capacity.
- Identify future capacity constraints, operating risks, and potential service impacts.
- Recommend scalable and cost‑effective capacity solutions based on analytical findings.
- Develop detailed action plans and coordinate execution with responsible teams.
- Support fulfillment center operations across AMET with capacity analysis and planning.
- Work with supply chain stakeholders to implement approved capacity actions.
- Forecast the implications of projected volume growth across the regional network.
- Develop innovative storage and space‑utilization solutions for changing business requirements.
- Evaluate permanent, temporary, and low‑cost storage alternatives.
- Conduct regular site audits to confirm compliance with capacity‑planning standards.
- Review operational conformance, storage norms, workflows, and standard operating practices.
- Document audit findings and track corrective actions through completion.
- Partner with engineering design teams during fulfillment center development and modification projects.
- Ensure operational and capacity requirements are included in facility designs.
- Coordinate with fulfillment center launch teams to support site readiness.
- Review design assumptions, layouts, storage plans, and operational inputs.
- Drive critical projects that increase network capacity and improve asset utilization.
- Lead bin‑slotting optimization and storage reconfiguration initiatives.

Ideal Profile
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of program or project management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working across technical and non‑technical teams.
- At least 3 years of experience defining and implementing data‑driven process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience managing strategic and operational projects from planning through delivery.
- Experience defining program requirements, objectives, and measurable success criteria.
- Strong analytical capability and confidence working with complex operational datasets.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of operational trade‑offs.
- Ability to develop project plans, schedules, governance mechanisms, and reporting structures.
- Experience identifying project risks and coordinating mitigation plans.
- Strong stakeholder‑management skills across different organizational levels.
- Ability to influence teams and drive action in a matrix environment.
- Clear written and verbal English communication skills.
