Job summary

talabat is seeking a Product Designer at IC2 level to Own end-to-end design execution for features, from discovery to pixel-perfect production delivery. You will collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate complex requirements into intuitive interfaces used by millions of users daily.

The role emphasizes user research, design system stewardship, and strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design reasoning in fast-paced, consumer-facing contexts.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of full-time UX/UI design experience in a consumer-facing digital product environment (e-commerce, food delivery, or hyper-scale platforms).
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end problem-solving, UX rationale, and polished UI execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, interactive prototyping) and familiarity with AI design tools.
• Experience using qualitative feedback and quantitative metrics (A/B testing, funnels, heatmaps) to guide design iterations.
• Solid understanding of technical constraints, design handoff workflows, and collaboration with Product Management and Engineering (Three-in-a-Box model).
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, open to critique, and driven by a continuous growth mindset.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Execution: Own the full design lifecycle for feature initiatives—from discovery and user research to wireframes, interactive prototyping, and production delivery.
• Problem Definition & Framing: Translate user needs and business requirements into clear, validated design solutions with PM and Engineering leads.
• User Research & Insights: Plan and conduct usability tests and user interviews; use metrics to validate design hypotheses.
• Design System Stewardship: Apply our design system consistently across web and mobile experiences; propose new components and evolve patterns.
• Systems & Edge Case Thinking: Design with knowledge of complex backend workflows, offline states, and multi-step journeys.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with developers during handoff and QA to ensure feasibility and quality.
• Design Advocacy & Communication: Present design decisions clearly to stakeholders and incorporate feedback.
• Craft & Process Innovation: Participate in critiques and ideation, and leverage AI tools to accelerate workflows.

At the IC2 level, you have moved beyond basic execution and entry-level support. You take autonomous ownership of feature-level end-to-end design within your product squad. You partner comfortably with Product Managers and Engineers to navigate complex interaction problems, leverage user data, and contribute directly to feature-level strategy and delivery.

What's On Your Plate?

• End-to-End Execution: Own the full design lifecycle for feature initiatives-from discovery and user research to wireframing, interactive prototyping, and pixel-perfect production delivery.

• Design System Stewardship: Apply and advocate for our design system consistently across web and mobile experiences. Identify gaps, propose new components, and help evolve system patterns.
• Systems & Edge Case Thinking: Design with a deep understanding of complex backend workflows, edge cases, offline states, and multi-step user journeys.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers during handoff and QA to ensure technical feasibility and craft quality during release.
• Design Advocacy & Communication: Present design solutions, logic, and trade-offs clearly to squad stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
• Craft & Process Innovation: Participate actively in design critiques, help facilitate ideation workshops, and integrate AI tools to accelerate design workflows.
