Job summary

talabat, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is seeking a Product Designer to join our Dubai team. You will own end-to-end design for feature initiatives, partnering with PMs and engineers to create scalable, user-centered solutions used by millions daily.

You have 3–4 years of UX/UI design experience in agile, consumer-facing products, strong Figma skills, and a portfolio showing end-to-end problem solving and polished interface design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Design, HCI, Visual Communication or related field.
• 3–4 years of full-time UX/UI design experience in agile, consumer-facing digital product environments.
• Strong product design portfolio demonstrating end-to-end problem-solving and UX rationale.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, prototyping) and familiarity with AI design tools.
• Experience using qualitative feedback and quantitative metrics to guide design iterations.
• Understanding of design handoff workflows and collaboration with Product Management and Engineering.
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, open to critique and growth-minded.

Responsibilities

What’s On Your Plate?

• End-to-End Execution: Own the full design lifecycle for feature initiatives—from discovery and user research to wireframing, interactive prototyping, and pixel-perfect production delivery.
• Problem Definition & Framing: Work directly with your PM and Engineering leads to translate user needs and business requirements into clear, validated design solutions.
• User Research & Insights: Plan and execute evaluative user research (usability testing, user interviews) and utilize quantitative metrics to validate design hypotheses.
• Design System Stewardship: Apply and advocate for our design system consistently across web and mobile experiences. Identify gaps, propose new components, and help evolve system patterns.
• Systems & Edge Case Thinking: Design with a deep understanding of complex backend workflows, edge cases, offline states, and multi-step user journeys.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers during handoff and QA to ensure technical feasibility and craft quality during release.
• Design Advocacy & Communication: Present design solutions, logic, and trade-offs clearly to squad stakeholders, incorporating feedback iteratively.
• Craft & Process Innovation: Participate actively in design critiques, help facilitate ideation workshops, and integrate AI tools to accelerate design workflows.

What you need to be successful

What Did We Order?

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Design, HCI, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 3–4 years of full-time UX/UI design experience in an agile, consumer-facing digital product environment (e-commerce, food delivery, or hyper-scale platforms).
• Portfolio: A strong product design portfolio demonstrating end-to-end problem-solving, UX rationale, edge-case consideration, and polished visual UI execution.
• Tooling Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto-layout, interactive prototyping) and familiarity with AI design tools.
• Data & Research Competency: Demonstrated experience using qualitative feedback and quantitative metrics (A/B testing, funnels, heatmaps) to guide design iterations.
• Cross-Functional Skills: Solid understanding of technical constraints, design handoff workflows, and collaboration with Product Management and Engineering ("Three-in-a-Box" model).
• Mindset: Autonomous, detail-oriented, open to critique, and driven by a continuous growth mindset.
