Job summary

talabat is seeking a Product Designer - UX and UI in Dubai to join a cross-functional squad, shaping usable, accessible digital experiences across our platform. You will own user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs, collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers to deliver iterative improvements.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of full-time UX-UI design experience, a portfolio demonstrating design thinking, and familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; portfolio demonstrating complete design thinking.
• Strong knowledge of UX practices including user flows, journey mapping, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing.
• Working knowledge of Figma and prototyping tools; willingness to explore AI-assisted workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build understanding of the assigned product area, target users, and key customer journeys.
• Work with Product Managers and senior designers to understand the problem space before developing solutions.
• Translate clearly defined user and business problems into structured design concepts.
• Create user flows, wireframes, interaction patterns, prototypes, and high-fidelity interface designs.
• Use Figma and related tools to produce clear, implementation-ready product designs.
• Apply established design system components consistently across assigned features.
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or limitations within the design system and raise them with the appropriate design team.
• Participate in user interviews, usability testing, and other generative or evaluative research activities.
• Observe user behavior and help convert research findings into practical product improvements.
• Gather feedback from users, designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design process.
• Iterate designs based on evidence, critique, usability findings, and technical considerations.
• Present work regularly to the immediate squad to encourage early feedback.
• Participate actively in design critique sessions and cross-functional workshops.
• Explain design choices clearly and connect decisions to user needs and product objectives.
• Document design decisions, assumptions, constraints, and rationale for handoff and asynchronous review.
• Work closely with Engineers to clarify interactions, states, edge cases, and implementation details.
• Maintain attention to visual hierarchy, spacing, typography, consistency, and interaction quality.
• Contribute to journey mapping and user flow development when exploring customer experiences.
• Support usability testing preparation and help document findings.
• Organize design files so that work remains easy to review, update, and hand over.
• Manage assigned design tasks within agile sprint cycles with guidance from senior team members.
• Prioritize design work according to squad objectives and agreed delivery timelines.
• Explore AI-enabled design tools that can improve speed, ideation, research support, and production quality.

Ideal Profile

The preferred candidate has 1-2 years of full-time UX-UI or product design experience, ideally within a consumer-facing digital product, technology platform, marketplace, or mobile application environment. A bachelor 's degree in Fine Arts, Design, Visual Communication, Human Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred. Candidates from other educational backgrounds may also be suitable when supported by a strong portfolio and relevant practical design experience.
